DIY Thursday: Calming Cold Compress
Happy Thursday, friends! One step closer to the weekend and one more way you can use your Everyone™ essential oils. Today’s DIY project is super simple! It’s sure to get you through those days when you just can’t even.
First, here are some basics about aromatherapy so you can understand why this DIY is beneficial for your senses. Our sense of smell is directly connected to the emotional receptors in our brains. That means the things we smell, good and bad, can affect the way we feel. It’s the reason why your grandmother’s perfume makes you feel nostalgic and why you feel so refreshed after passing by a grove of Eucalyptus trees. This sensory superhighway is delicate and it’s why we take a strong stance against synthetic fragrance. You deserve better than fake stuff. 100% pure essential oils only, baby!
Now that you’re an aromatherapy expert, here’s a quick hack to banish your next bad mood.
Peppermint is perfect for those moments when you feel like you’re about to lose your cool. It reminds us that refreshment is always right around the corner.
Lavender is a classically calming essential oil, perfect for any time you need to slow down. It reminds us that peacefulness is just a whiff away.

Here’s What To Do:
Fill a small mixing bowl with cold water. Add 3 drops of Peppermint and 6 drops of Lavender. Submerge your washcloth in the water. Wring it out and place in the freezer for 10 minutes. Remove your washcloth and fold long-ways. Now lay back and drape your compress over your forehead. Relax, clear your mind, and breathe in some feel-good.
Ahh, that’s better!
