DIY Thursday: Leave-In Conditioner + Detangler

Your hair is out there facing the elements every day – it’s exhausted. Today we’re going to show you how to make an all natural leave-in conditioner to help restore your hair’s radiance. Bonus points: it also works great as a detangler! This project is super quick and easy, so let’s get to it.

Note: We recommend making only two ounces at a time and storing it in the refrigerator between uses.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (if solid, melt for a few seconds in the microwave)
1.5 ounces distilled water
Your favorite Everyone™ essential oil (we used Lavender)
A clean, empty spray bottle (we repurposed a 2 oz. Hand Sanitizer bottle)

Here’s What To Do:

  1. Fill your spray bottle with distilled water.
  2. Add your Coconut Oil and close the bottle. Shake vigorously to blend the oil and water.
  3. Re-open and add drops of essential oil to your desired scent strength (we used 12 drops of Lavender). Close the bottle and shake vigorously again.
  4. Boom – ready to use! Spray onto hair, avoiding your roots and paying more attention to hair length and ends. Comb through using a wide-toothed comb or brush and style as usual.

Remember to give your bottle a good shake before each use – the oil and water won’t always get along, so help them jive by mixing it up!

Your hair looks marvelous, naturally!
